Hello to all,
I m using Nav 2016, i am facing a problem with inventory cost post to gl . i am using average costing method .
i posted a single entry to general ledger but system posted one more another entry to gl with different cost price for same quantity in same document. i don't know why this happened .
i will wait for your suggestions.

it was related to system automatically posting the extra entry to GL with different cost while doing any adjustment from item journal.
Actually this issue is solved but it is related to when user post positive adjustment for any item with different costs and after that user did not run adjust cost batch job and again he post negative adjustment with different cost not with average cost. after all when he run adjust cost batch job then system created that entry with remaining difference of the average cost amount.

That's problem has been around since the MS-DOS days. You cannot say you are a real NAV consultant unless you had this problem! [:)]
There may be many reasons:
1: There have been manual adjustments in GL
2: You have not run the Post Inventory Cost to GL job.
You're using average cost also makes it harder to debug. I have mostly seen it in connection with returns (especially with lot no.), where the correct items have not been applied.
