The predefined Profile ID's are too narrow for a small company. I need to be able to create a Profile ID which includes "items" from several of the predefined profiles. Is that possible?

Each profile is a page called Role Center. By default it's pages 9000 - 9023.

Each Role center contains activities - subpage with numbers of different documents and small actions like Create New Order - it's pages 9030 - 9075.

So you could take existing profile (Role Center), inspect how it organized and copy items from other Role centers or activities, or you could create your own new one.

Also you could open Departments, make a right-click on page which you need and choose "Add to Navigation Pane" or "Add to actions on Role Center Ribbon" - after that you'll get a shortcut in your role center. But it'll be available only in your role center, not for all users of your company.
