Uninstalling the Hot Fix in AX 2012R2

Hi,

I 'm facing a problem now.

How to uninstall the hot fix which have been already installed? Recently I have installed a hot fix KB2819824 to fix the "Customer/Item statistics" report. BUt after installing that I am receiving so many stack trace error for other reports too. I would like to uninstall the hotfix which i have installed to fix this issue. Anybody has any suggestion on this?

    In the list of models ( go to about microsoft dynamics ax -> show installed models) you see a ID for each hotfix.

    technet.microsoft.com/.../hh433514.aspx

    Use the procedure for uninstalling a model to remove it.

    Note: This does not reverse any kernell or client application fixes.

    Can you confirm if you have done below steps after hotfix installation?

    1. did you run a upgrade checklist after applying the hotfix?

    2. did you compile your application, CIL and Synchronization?

    Easiest way to uninstall hot-fix is to replace it with what was earlier, so ideally you should have taken a backup , before installing a hot-fix, so just replace the backup model-store through powershell or import .bak file from SQL server. Then you are done.

    Hi Rik Spoor,

    Thank you very much for the method. I have managed to uninstall it and after uninstalling, I have restarted the AOS also. May I need to do any compilation in AOT level because the error which I have mentioned is still there while running any reports.

    Hi Pradeep,

    I have selected the first option of upgrade which were listed when I opened the application after the hot fix has been installed, sorry I cant recall what was that.

    I have compiled after installation but after uninstalling the hot fix, I haven't compiled, only restarted the AOS.

    Do full compile and CIL and resolve any errors. After that, try to run the reports again.
