Hi:
In GP 2018, upon copying the URL from the GP's Publish OData window, the end user gets the http 404 error. After trying every troubleshooting document out there in cyberspace, no joy.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
John

An HTTP 404 error usually means 'page not found', though I'm not sure that OData URL will render in a browser window.
In Excel, click on the 'Data' tab, > 'Data from other sources > Odata Data Feed
In the 'Data Connection Wizard', type in this ODATA URL up to company name, such as this example:
ServerName.DomainName.com/.../
Make sure to cut off the URL after the company database name and leave the ending slash ( / ) there.
If prompted, login as an account that has access, preferably a administrator account.
When you click Next, it should bring up a list of what you chose to publish, for example: Accounts, Customers and Vendors views, select Customers and then click Next, then Finish.
In the Import Data window, click OK and the Customer view data should show in the Excel workbook as expected. At this point you can save this Excel report so each time you launch it, it'll pull the Customer view data anew.
