Lower environment & Production out of Sync.

Hi Team,

We have one lower environment and a production environment.  The system is running for 10 long years and in the meantime, both environments have gone out of sync.  Example: If there are 50 flows in one solution in production, 20 in the lower environment are present now.  Nobody knows How?

The production has Managed solutions and the Lower environment has unmanaged solutions.  I want to sync both environments first before doing any further development.  I have raised a support request to Microsoft. On behalf of them, a vendor responded and said NO that It can not be done.  I have also seen the tricks given by Alireza Sir to change Managed (1) to 0 using 7Zip.  I have tried that but I don't know the sequence of solutions to export and import and hence causing Dependency issues.

Can anyone help me out? It would be a great help !!

    Hey!

You can do a full copy, which would replace entirely your lower environment, but you won't be able to edit the managed solutions.    You can also perform a "minimal" copy which would only move schemas & solutions (no data), but again, you face the same problem: solutions would remain as "managed".  However, you can build new solutions from there (including or not as dependencies those managed solutions).

Regarding the other approach (exporting managed solutions and then switching some parameters), I'm not sure if this is supported, but you would have to check which are Custom Solutions from your team (as Microsoft Out of the Box solutions should exist on the lower environment).  You can start by checking the prefix of the solutions, the publisher and the versions.

    Regards,

Hi Daniel, Thanks for replying. There are a number of solutions in the production and its very much confusing as some custom solutions are with default publishers. Its a mess and need some way to fix this.
