Is Dynamics 365 Sales Insights included with the Dynamics 365 Sales Enterprise license?

Hello Community,

I would like to understand better if the Dynamics 365 Sales Insights license is included with the Dynamics 365 Sales Enterprise license, or does it need to be purchased separately?

When I look into the Microsoft Dynamics 365 licensing guide, it says Dynamics 365 Sales Insights is available as an add-on to Sales Enterprise, which implies Sales Insights needs to be purchased separately on top of Sales Enterprise. However, when I read a bit more, it also mentions that "Sales Enterprise includes the Sales Insights features: assistant, email engagement, auto capture, and business card scanning (10/user/month:
pooled at tenant level). Sales Insights has a capacity limit for business card scanning of 200/user/month. If additional Business card scanning capacity is required, Sales Enterprise customers may purchase additional
Sales Insights licenses."

The last part of the sentences above seems to imply Sales Insights is included with the Sales Enterprise license for free, and additional purchase is required only if we need for example additional business card scanning capacity.

Would someone help to clarify?

Basically, I would like to have the business card scanning feature, and I want to know if I already have the Sales Enterprise license, would I have this feature included for free, or would I need to pay anything extra for this?

Sales insights consists of multiple features and SKUs

Sales Insights Embedded which includes Email Engagement , Relationship Assistant out of box and Auto Data Capture is a free feature on top of Sales

Sales Insights SKU includes POS,PLS, relationship analytics, Notes analysis etc is paid SKU

Conversational Intelligence is charged based on consumption and provides certain credits for free

Business card scanner is also charged based on consumption but provides certain free credits ( 200 scans if I recall back correct )

Rest all features in SI are charged based on user license

Yes, Business card is part of Sales, not Sales Insights, so is OOTB Sales

Hi Eric,

Thanks for asking! To clarify, with Sales Enterprise you can use business card scanning, up to 10/user/month (without a Sales Insights license). If you require more than that amount, then you will need a Sales Insights license to increase the limit to 200/user/month. You can continue to go beyond 200/user/month, but you will need to purchase additional Sales Insights licenses.

In general, a Dynamics 365 Sales Insights license does not come included with a Dynamics 365 Sales Enterprise license, and needs to be purchased separately.
