Qualifying Lead error after 2025 Wave 1 Updates

I just applied 2025 Wave 1 update to my CRM Sales test environment and when I try to qualify a lead I get this error. This happens when Contact is being created as the result of qualifying the Lead. 
 
Business Process Error
{5}{2}(Id = {3}) is missing {0} privilege on {1} entity(OTC={4}). Consider adding missing privilege to one of the {5}{2} roles for the request to succeed.
 
The same user with the same security role is able to qualify Leads in my other test environments where MS 2025 Wave 1 Update has not been applied.

    The OTC (Object Type Code) of 4 is for the lead entity, which is weird that the user is qualifying a lead and the error is coming from the lead table.
     
    • Can the user create a lead or edit one? If so, can they qualify that and convert it to a contact record?
    • Did you check permissions for the user on the lead table? Open a lead record, go to "Check Access" in the ribbon, and select your user. It should validate if they have a security role or team membership to the lead table. You can do the same on contacts, accounts, and Opportunities (all of which can be created from leads). It's possible that the wave update maybe modified something on your security role?
    • Do you have any field level security profiles that are locking fields down that the user does not have access to on the Contact or lead table?
    • Does someone with higher permissions (such as system admin) still get the error? If so, it points to an issue somewhere other than the security role.
    You can always take the error and use a tool called Security Debugger - XRM Toolbox and see if you can get anything a bit more helpful. Let me know if you find anything, I'll be curious to see what it was.

    Check your web browser's "Console" tab. Any red error messages there might tell you exactly which permissions are missing.

    The exact cause can be identified by reviewing the detailed error log. Additionally, checking the Access Checker on both Lead & Contact may also be helpful.

    The possibilities listed below could be relevant, but the statement above will give more accurate cause.

    As you mentioned, the error occurs when a contact is created upon Lead Qualification (i.e., NEW CONTACT). However, since it was working previously, I don’t believe there is a missing privilege for the contact table. That said, rechecking the security privileges for the contact table might help resolve the issue.

    Additionally, a new change introduced in the recent release is Copilot, which provides summaries and AI-generated details for qualifying leads.

    Thanks for all the answers. I found the issue. My user's security role was missing write privilege for Create Contact. After I fixed the security role the issue was resolved.
