Hi,

Need some help on below scenario..

Requirements

we have 2 separate version of CRM running at this moment . CRM 2011, Dynamics 365 (Both on-premise).

We wanted to bring few of the CRM 2011 users to the new environment. Once users are migrated to the new Organization, they need to have Outlook meeting synchronized from older CRM 2011 to the newer version of  Dynamics 365.

Action

So as part of test, i did following

  • With CRM 2011 Outlook Plugin installed on my test machine, I Created few appointments and did set regarding for the appointment (CRM 2011)
  • I can see that appointments are synchronized with Account correctly (CRM 2011)
  • I imported the Accounts and Activities with same GUID in newer version of CRM (Dynamics 365)
  • I uninstalled the older outlook version and Installed the new outlook plugin on my test machine
  • I can see the Appointment in the Outlook but there is No Regarding Set (Account and Appointment link breaks)

Error

With newer version of Outlook Plugin, when i click on Set Regarding on previously tracked meeting in Outlook, it is giving me some notification like "the Microsoft outlook record was previously linked to Microsoft dynamics crm. The data is no longer synchronized with Microsoft dynamics crm"

Question

What is the recommended way to have Outlook appointment Synchronized between two Organizations?
