How to track website leads in Dynamics 365 Sales Online?

Hi everyone,

How are you? I hope you all are keeping safe and well throughout these troubled times.

Just reaching out for a generic question.

We need to track leads coming to our website and somehow connect it with our D365 Sales site online so we can generate more sales. Is there a way that I can link our website to CRM?

I’ve gone through bunch of articles and found one to achieve it by Microsoft forms and link it with D365 using power automate https://www.preact.co.uk/blog/converting-web-forms-to-dynamics-365-leads-with-microsoft-flow-forms But not sure if this is the best approach.

So, was looking for some other options if you are aware of any? Or what would be the ideal way to do it?

Thank you in advance.

Your Website would most likely be having a Contact Us form...right?

So, whenever someone fills in this form... you may be receiving an automated email with all details filled-in...

You can use Zap Email Parser App... which will automatically parse the email and automatically create a Lead in Dynamics 365 / CRM!

(The emails could be received in Queue in Dynamics... which will be parsed by Zap Email Parser App to create Lead)

For more information, pls refer below links:

    Hi

There are a few different approaches you could go about creating lead as suggested by others, but If you want your website page to directly submit to CRM without using Forms/Iframe, you could create a Flow with an HTTP trigger and when the user clicks on the Submit button on your website, it could post that to Flow and then flow can create the record in CRM.

    Hi,

If you are looking for Low Code No Code apparoach then Flow is th best approach.

ANd if you are familiar with customization then you can utilize Azure function as HTTP trigger which will act as webhook that can be used from website to post lead data to to azire function. And write C# code to process that record to Create LEAD in CRM.

Benefit of using Azure function is to have control on business logic implementation and security point of of view it is best to go with Azure function.

Please see below article which explain step by step guide to Create Lead in CRM from external website.
