D365 Finance - Can I use a data entity to load closing sheet year end adjustments?

Hi all

Is there a data entity available to load closing sheet year end adjustments? We have a large volume of adjustments to be made, and cannot find any relevant data entity that can be used to load them via Data Management. Doing it manually via the GUI and relevant page in D365 will take a very long time

Hi,

On the page where you create\maintain the journal, have you checked if there is an "Open in excel" option?

Thats the easiest way to check if there is an entity and you can use it straight away via excel add-in.

Hi @Adis I checked that and there wasnt. I cant find a obvious entity to use via DMF

Hi JayJay123,

There is no data entity as the data displayed on the closing sheet is based on a temporary table. The data is loaded when opening the form. As it is not a regular table, you can't have or create a data entity for it. Using a customization where you can add a regular table, it will be possible to support the process by loading data from a source file.

You can also consider using a general journal, but then the transactions will not be posted in the "closing" period.
