Changing Field Positions on a form

Hi, I want to change the field order on the Sales Form and add a few existing fields but I don't want to use the Personalize Function.  I want to be able to change the layout for all users.

How is that done in 365FO?

Thanks in advance

I have the same question (0)

You have to do such a changes through visual studio , if you  dont want to use Personalization. Changes made through visual studio for ordering fields  will be reflected to all users after successful deployment of your changes

Thanks, but does that require extension or can we modify the out-of-the-box salesform?

It requires extension of a form . You can not modify out of the box version.

Also note that you can make a personalization that is applied to all users.

From the documentation on docs.microsoft.com/.../personalize-user-experience :

you can give your personalizations to a user who has admin privileges. That user can then apply your personalization file to many users at the same time.

Ok, I created a form extension of the sales table and tried to move the location of the salesid.  But it's greyed-out...I can't make a change.

    Hi Brianmaric,

Can you explain what you mean with 'greyed-out'? Is it the form control or something else? Probably, you can add a screenshot to illustrate the problem.

Which fields you are trying to move ? Can you share screenshot ? Using personalization for all users is an option you go with ?

If it's a group you you to check underlying field group on table and change position over there.
