Hi all,

In CRM Portal, if we upload an attachment, where does it go ? Can I look for it in CRM ?

Is it possible to have attachment go directly to SharePoint ?

Is there a way to do SharePoint search from the portal

    Hi there,

    I can't confirm how this works in the latest CRM portal but from my experience with ADX Studio, I know that Files & Attachments can be stored directly in CRM or in Azure Blob storage for easy access. The content editor allows you to insert images and videos directly from resources present on your site.

    If you are using the Microsoft hosted portal, I'm assuming that the attachment will go into a notes section somewhere. Maybe someone can confirm this.

    There's no out of the box way to use SharePoint with the Microsoft hosted portal. It's not (yet) supported.

    If you are asking about an attachment through a form in ADX, I suppose it creates a note in CRM which is attached with the record (which is created using that form).

    Thanks for the response.

    I wonder if there is any free workflow out there that could regularly sweep the note entity and move the attachments to SharePoint. I suppose I could write some custom workflow to do that, but if there is something already is available, I could just use it.

    Hi,

    Attachments:

    On prem - stored as attachment to Web File Entity

    On line (8.x)   - attachment contains an Azure Blob storage reference

    Share poit integration:

    On prem:  community.adxstudio.com/.../sharepoint-document-library

    On line (8.x)   - no integration at all.

    community.dynamics.com/.../210867
