Trust relationship between the primary domain and the trusted domain failed

We have a trust in place between two domains.

The physical link between the two domains was severed, but the trust relationship was left in place.

Now when I access the "users" page in the administration tab, I receive the above error.

Trust relationship between the primary domain and the trusted domain failed

We are using Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2015

I found a fix.  I had to open the database, and expand the table: Users,  (not in any company, below all the companies)  delete ALL records to the old domain so that it doesn't get referenced.  Would be curious if the conditional forwarder were deleted if that would serve as well.    Then restart the NAV service tier and proceed.   User setup is a different table that doesn't have SID's referenced so that is no worry.

I am seeing a similar error. NAV 2013. When going into the IT Administration, General, Users tab. Steps that have been tried:

Rejoined server to domain, added the user logging in with Enterprise admin rights and restarted services. No luck. Is there a log for NAV that will explain or any thoughts on next steps? Thank you.

    Hi,

you need to delete the required user from user table and add it again.

    Hi John

I solved this by adding a filter to the user list page 9800 OnOpenPage trigger:

If the users causing trouble were name like so:

    UNWANTEDDOMAIN\Bob

    UNWANTEDDOMAIN\Ralph

    Add code as below:

    SETFILTER("UserName",'<>*UNWANTEDDOMAIN*');

We had the same problem, upon troubleshooting found something interesting.

look in eventlogs--> system --> from source will be netlog error type.

would contain info something like this.

This computer was not able to set up a secure session with a domain controller in domain XXXXXdue to the following:

this usually happens when your application server has connectivity issue with DNS server. when you make DNS join issue will be resolved.
