Show the sum of discount amount as a separate invoiceline

Hi

I have an invoice with some discounts calculated in the lines. But I want to see the sum of all these discounts as a separate line, so the customer can see how much of a discount they have got.

I can calculate the discount per line, both as discount percentage and discount amount.

    1) add one more line as discount with -ve amount in it.

    or

    2) customize your report so that it will add one more line, always after lines are finished and that line will be displayed as part of your tablix on ssrs report

    Hi Sohaib

what do you mean with -ve amount?

-ve amount means Unit Price less than zero.

it will deduct from your total of invoice and on control document it will appear as separate line

It sounds like a good solution. But I cant find this -ve amount in the fieldlist for the report.

in report it will appear as new line after all lines of +VE amounts.

Otherwise you can simply customize report  to generate a extra line for your discount

It still sounds as a good solution. But the problem is I dont know how to do set it to -VE amount.

    Hi Sohaib

I found a solution on this based on what you told me.

    1. I added an extra line.
    2. And then added this "Expression"

      =(Fields!SalesPrice.Value * Fields!Qty.Value)-Fields!LineAmountInclTax.Value

    3. And to set the Hidden property to True, when there are no discounts, I made this expression for the fields. =((Fields!SalesPrice.Value * Fields!Qty.Value)-Fields!LineAmountInclTax.Value) = 0
