Good day Everyone.

I have some difficulties in creating offline database for one of our store database. We managed to configure the right path for channel database server and channel database name. As well as the user that we used in creating the database is db_owner and db_creator.

It open a window that show the process of creating the offline database. It prompts that the database is created and then when the synchronization part. This error shows.

Do you have an idea why I encounter this error? Please help. Thank you very much.

Did you take a look at the event viewer for a detailed error message ?

Hi,

Have you install SQL on client system? Because here you mentioned that you are using channel database server and channel database name for offline database configuration.

For Offline database configuration, User have enough rights on DB as well as on system also.

Hi Nuno. There is no error in Event viewer. The only error message is the screenshot that I've posted here. Do you have any idea why this error occurred? Please help.

Hi Pir,

I am re-stating the question. I have some difficulties in creating offline database for one of our POS. We managed to configure the right path for channel database server and channel database name. As well as the user that we used in creating the database is db_owner and db_creator. Sorry it may confuse you.

I am installing the Offline database in the POS machine when the error occurs. The user that i'm using in creating the offline db has permission / has enough right to create the database.

Hi Pir.

Thank you to the links. Yes. We are using Retail Channel Configuration Utility in creating offline DB. But in my case, when the offline database syncs with the store Db the error above shows. It drops the database. Do you have any idea why I am encountering this? Thank you Pir.

Hi,

I was also facing same issue earlier, but after spending some time I was able to figure out the issue. The problem was one of the offline scope was having zero table. I faced this in AX 2012 R3 CU8/CU9/CU10 with demo data of CU8.

Try using sysadmin permission to the Master DB too.

Hi Raph

Could you validate, if Retail HQ and Store is using same application version. I faced some issues earlier in getting offline data into the database due to incorrect application version (like CU7 in HQ and store being in RTM).
