Hi all,

My company's sharepoint site was working fine for long time. SQL Server is expired recently. So we have activated the SQL server now. SQL instance is working fine with existing database connected.

But the site is not loading in Internet explorer/Chrome. It says,

This page can't be displayed

Make sure the web address "https://SiteName" is correct.

The webpage is not available.

Look for the page with your search engine.

Refresh the page in a few minutes.

Make sure TLS and SSL protocols are enabled. Go to Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Settings > Security

Kindly help me on this. Since it's an urgent issue and I need to resolve it asap.

Regards,

Zahir

Open the Sharepoint 2013 Central Administration site (you can do this by looking it in the Start menu). See if that one loads fine. If it doesn't you have a problem with the Sharepoint databases. When you activated the SQL Server, have you downgraded to another type of license?

    Hi Iulian,

Sharepoint central administration is opening fine. I have upgraded with SQL Server 2014 SP1 DB and i can able to see back all the databases in sql window. Previously we had evaluated SQL Server 2014 DB and now we upgraded and the License is different. Yes.

    Zahir

So I guess if the Central Adm is opening ok, you can check by looking for it in the Site collection. Make sure everything is ok from the Sharepoint's perspective.

Also, go in IIS and make sure the application pools and the sites are running for your site (not showing as stopped).

and, I forgot to ask is this an Enterprise Portal site, or just a collaborative Sharepoint site?

    Hi Iulian,

when i tried ti open Sharepoint sites from IIS, it's throwing an error, which i mentioned already above. All the pools are in started state only. IIS has both ep site as well as sharepoint collaborative site. both are not working.

    Regards,

    Zahir
