Sample Database for NAV 2016

Hi All,

I have installed the licensed copy of NAV 2016. All the setup has been done. But when I checked the SQL Server I did not find any database for NAV 2016. I also checked setup and also did not find any dummy database.

I need a dummy database, so that I can proceed ahead with the configuration. Could any one please tell me from where I can get the database with dummy data.

Hello Pranab,

Open NAV 2016 DVD something like:

NAV.9.0.46773.NA.DVD\SQLDemoDatabase\CommonAppData\Microsoft\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\90\Database

in this path you will get "Demo Database NAV (9-0).bak" file that is demo database for NAV 2016

this file you have to Restore in your SQL Server.

Hi Pranab,

During installation if you click on 'Install Demo' then it will create another instance on SQL server as 'NAVDEMO' and restore DB on that instance

Check the instance on Sql Server

Another reason during installation you have not selected to install demo Database

while installation, select an option to install Cronus International Ltd. demonstration database
