Microsoft does not know what customisations are in your system, nor how, or why those were done

Your code can be  moved to your new environment. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamicsax-2012/appuser-itpro/models-layers-and-the-model-store

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamicsax-2012/appuser-itpro/deploying-customizations-and-solutions-by-using-models-and-the-model-store

    • Its possible that no changes are needed.
    • Its possible the customisation may no longer be needed.

You have to look at the modules affected by the CU and test thoroughly and make any code changes needed.

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamicsax-2012/appuser-itpro/apply-updates-and-hotfixes#cumulative-updates

This is not the sort of thing  to do unaided without professional help.

You have to compare all objects that changed between CU8 and CU13 and that have also been customized by you. Then you need to merge the MS changes from SYP layer to your customization layer. And in some cases you need to reimplement your customization in a new way in order for it to work with the new MS code.

Once you follow steps for upgrading your  code , you have to resolve code conflicts . Resolving code conflict should involved  objects from third party as well.
