Hi all,

I did view many basic videos for OOB functionality that AX 2012 R3 provides. But if someone can point out or show me the correct documentation or reference that are my need will be appreciated:

1. Do we have a labor scheduling in AX 2012 R3.

2. All I need is AX to tell me if I need 10 quantities to be manufactured for an item I need 2 peoples for 6 hours.

    Hi D_Meethu,

Have you checked out the following website of the following AX 'wizard' :-)  dyntips.com/.../time-and-attendance

I believe this is the most detailed and comprehensive documentation & explanation of this feature not only for D365 but also for AX2012 systems.

    Hope this helps.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

Thanks for the reference Ludwig, but I'm afraid that this isn't that well covered in my Time and attendance guide. What you are looking for D_Meethu is production planning and the use of routes. Yes that is standard. I am working on a guide for this, but am not even half way on that one, and I guess you can't wait until August.

    So...

Look for routes and how to set these up. These will then be accounted for when running master scheduling if you use limited capacities and will give you resource requirements.

A great tip would be to check out the latest book from Dr. Scott Hamilton. That will 100% guaranteed cover what you are looking for.

Or... You could attend Summit EMEA in Amsterdam in two weeks and find me at the MVP Table.

    Happy hunting.

Sure... As I said, it will probably not be out before August... Go subscribe to my blog. Just enter your email in the subscription area.
