Dynamics AX 2012 not synchronising with Management Reporter in UAT

Hello,

Please I need help on how to ensure my AX 2012 test environment synchronises with Management Reporter  (MR) test environment.

I have some users created in AX UAT but not showing up in MR UAT environment. I have restarted both the application and process services several times but the users are not showing up in MR.  I have checked MR UAT connection to AX AOS and the correct connection is set up so, I don't know what else to check. When I tried to add the user directly in MR UAT ( which I shouldn't do anyway) error message  as below displayed :

Interestingly, this doesn't happen in Live environment as the same users when created in AX Live sync with MR Live.

Please any tips on how to resolve this?

    Hi,

    Technically you should add users in Dynamics AX application,  add the appropriate roles within the application and those users should sync to MR, you are not supposed to add users directly to the MR.

    Se this as an example:

    community.dynamics.com/.../management-reporter-and-dynamics-ax-2012-users-not-synchronizing

    Did you add the right roles to the users in AX?

    Hello Fade,

    In AX2012 you cannot simply add users in the MR but rather have to set them up in AX. Based on their roles in AX they get MR roles assigned (see next link: terrychoo.com/.../) and can either generate, view, design... reports.

    Hi Ludwig,

    Thank you for link : terrychoo.com. I found it very useful. Following the documentation, I noticed the users already have the appropriate roles in AX . However, I had a shocking discovery that my MR UAT  fully integrated last on 24/12/2016. Whereas my Production is on to the last minute integration. My Production was fully integrated as at 17/09/2019.

    Please any tips on how I can investigate why MR UAT is not fully integrated. This appears the cause of my issue with AX/MR not synchronising in UAT
