"Data Management" Tab

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hello,

I have administrator access to dynamics.

One of the users needs "Data Management" Tab under his settings.

I checked his security role and below are his permissions.

He has full set of permissions to Data Import, Data Map,, Duplicate Detection Rule,Manage Data Encryption key - Change, Bulk Delete, Manage Data Encryption key - Activate,Manage Data Encryption key - Read, Publish Duplicate Detection Rules.

He can manually do all the operations but still cannot see "data management" tab under his settings.

How do I make it visible for his user account?

Settingsitemap/Marketingsitemap/Salesitemap are new privileges in Dynamics365 and not CRM 2016

Make a copy of 'System Admin' role and start reducing privileges which are extra.

This will make it work. Otherwise you can use the XRMTOOLBOX as suggested by Mahadeo.

    Hello Mahadeo,

    Thank you for your reply.

When I go to security> Security roles>clicked on "role" I am working on > custom entities

I do not see SettingsSiteMap entity.

    Where can I find it?

    Hi,

You need to give SettingsSiteMap entity read permission.

If this not work then easy way is open your organization site map in XRMTOOLBOX, and check is there any other privileges required to give to user role.

    Hope this will help..
