Is Dynamics right for my business?

Hi all.

I need a piece of software to be able to do the following and I'm not sure if Dynamics is able to do this. I have had a read around but it's a bit of a minefield.

Create customer records (agents)

Create orders which can be assigned to those customers (agents) but also have other details within the order like end user details.

Ability to create products. Simple products with no physical stock. We sell services.

Assign specific pricing on products for customers. Different price for same product for different customers

Have a job cycle, so for example, 'job ordered', 'job booked', 'job completed' and then send to invoice.

We would like to be able to invoice within the software too. With the option to do a bulk invoice for customers for all jobs completed in a month but also be able to do individual invoices for customers who require it that way.

We are VAT registered so therefore it would be great if the invoicing side of it could be HMRC compliant. If you do not know what this means, please tell us as this is VERY important.

It would be great if it could speak to google calendars with several accounts so we can put jobs into our staff's diaries.

The option to send emails from the software including auto emails once job has moved to 'job booked' stage for example.

Also the ability to send texts would help.

Does anyone know if this kind of thing is possible and if so where I might find someone who can create it for us?

Thank you in advance.

RE: Is Dynamics right for my business?

    Hi Mark,

I think Dynamics 365 can help to achieve most of the above requirements and you can also do lots of customizations/development through SDK to fulfill the customized features.

In Dynamics 365, there are several entities including Accounts, Contacts, Leads, Opportunites, Quotes, Orders, Invoices, Products, etc. It is easy to create a new account record, can also create orders specific which is the potential customer. You can use different prices for a product also. Business Process Flow can help guide users through a business process in the system,  it can tell the user which stage they are at in the process, and which steps they need to complete before they proceed in the process. Dynamics 365 can also integrated with outlook and have email-related features. For more features that are not in OOB, you can customize them with Plugin.
