How to handle Services provided on customer Supplied products

Hi There,

I need your help in figuring out how Ax2012 / D365 can handle services provided on customers supplied products, where we are only charging customer the service cost? We have a scenario where customer provides us with their own product and we provide a service on their products and invoice them. The material needs to be received in our warehouse before service and then shipped back to customer, with we invoicing them for service charge.

Please provide any insight on how this can be handled in AX2012.

Hi, the following diagram illustrates the high level business processes for Service management, and shows where service processes integrate with other modules in Microsoft Dynamics AX.

But actually i am looking for handling a service or Job work performed on customer supplied material where the we (the processing company) do not owned the customer supplier material and only charge the customer for service provided.

Customer provides material (A) -> the service provider company provides service on product A and then return the product B (converted from A with service) and bill customer for service charge only. We need to receive product A in system(D365) then ship out the product B out of system also.
