a role prevents me to see new

Hi,

I have a role X that restricts projects the user sees, it works good and everything but there's one issue if the user created a new project he can't see it not even after refreshing or anything, it seems that the user can't add new projects, but he actually can edit old projects, I can't see the problem.. any help?

Hi Kareem,

Did I understand correctly that the new project is not visible under Role X, but it visible under system administrator? Do you have any XDS set up in place?

Hi Kareem,

A role does usually not restrict the data that you see in a form that you can access.

There must be some additional setups - either XDS or other system modifications - that prevent the user from seeing the new project.

Can you check that with your system admins?

Hi Ludwig,

for each role I created a query and a security policy, and each time I try to create new project after filling the fields this error message appears "Cannot create a record in Projects (ProjTable). Security policy permission denied."

Hi Kareem,

If you get this message, then it is related to the security policy. Can you provide some more details how you did create the policies and what would be the exact expectation and behavior? Do you have users where multiple roles are assigned with multiple policies?

Hi André,

the policy primary table is ProjTable and then I added constrained table is SMAServiceOrderTable and then SMAServiceOrderLine, in the linked query I just added the ProjTable as the data source and I set a range for proj group id. the user who has the role can't create a new project or a new service order.
