Hi, how to change the Default View from LineView to Header View on forms (Example SalesQutotation , SalesTable form).

i tried multiple things but nothing worked, it looked like framework is doing this just before the form is rendered.

Thanks in Advance,

San

    Hi Santosh,

Is the FormViewOption property on the menu item of the form what you are looking for?

i open the SalesTable form by double clicking a particular salesId record on SalesTableListPage.  So what would be the menuItem for SalesTable form in this case ?

Hi Anton, i just tried what you mentioned on SalesTable menuItem and that is not i want.

what i am looking for is : when i open SalesTable MenuItem by default i should see SalesOrder Header View and not the Line View.

    Thank you for the response,

    San

    Hi Santosh,

Add this to the run method of the form after super().

element.task(1320); //set in header view. 1321 is line view

this works Anton, curious that how would i know this view number (1320 in this case) ?

I added an inflolog message to the task method of the form and pressed on the Header and Line view menu buttons.

i just verified this ...very interesting to know.  would the taskId for HeaderView remain same across all the forms and what about in different environments ?

would this number for Header view change in updates/hotfixes ?

    Thank you,

    San

Yes it should, see the Task macro in the AOT.

Anton, i don't see 1320 and 1321 in Task macro. i wouldn't like to hard-code them if possible.

Santosh, that is correct. What I would do is simply create a new macro in the AOT.
