set Opportunity Status to close without bidding

Is there a way to add an option "Close without bidding" for an opportunity that was created but the creator did not take part in it? Currently we have "Close as Won" and "Close as Lost" options. Is there a way to add a third option for closing the opportunity? If yes how can it be done?

I did not understand what you're trying to say under your suggestion. Please can you be a bit more clear it's getting all confusing.

Hi,

You can achieve this by using Ribbon Customization and writing custom business logic.

Suggestion:

Before this you need to finalize the status and status reason value for new option:

Same in Opportunity Close entity. Because after closing opportunity, Opportunity close record gets created.

In logic we need to handle everything like changing opportunity status and creation of opportunity close (based on requirement).
