Removing an AX report from AX area page

(0) ShareShare
ReportReport
Posted on by

I've created a report successfully posted on the area page in AX.

I want to remove it now as it was a test, does anyone know of a walkthrough that will help me?  I have searched but couldn't find anything so I removed the instance of the report from the menu and menu items in AOT thinking this would work but now it is showing as a link with a * either side.  I can't actually get rid of it altogether :)  I have actually taken it a step further as I don't need the report at all (it was a test only) and have deleted the solution and project files but the report is still showing as a link with a star either side on the main menu...like this      *test*

there would be some references for that report, may be in menu item(outPut) just delete from there, also from Menu in which you have placed earlier, then open new client, it should be clear now..

Thanks for your reply but those two areas in the AOT - Menus (I actually put it in AccountsReceivable(usr) > Reports > Customer and Menu Items(output) are the two areas I have deleted the report from.  I then closed AX, reopened it  and the link remained, but instead of just showing as test it now shows as *test*  and when you click on the hyperlink, instead of being able to see the report, I now see the message: No object specified on menu item in VoyageTest.

This is great news in one respect because I don't want there to be a menu item :) but I want the link to disappear too!

Hi Sohaib, thanks for you reply.  there is no path listed where the previous test is now showing *test*

The report is posted within AX on the home screen so it is not supposed to show a path.  You click on it and it displays the report.  It did this no problem.  Now I want remove the report as it was only a test.  I am going to create a different report now.  However, the old shortcut link remains.  (see above post).
