Comparing two fields

Hi,

I would like to compare two lookup fields in an entity and then if the lookup fields match then I would like to not show those records in the  System View.

I tried updating the Fetch XML view by using the valueof element and the Fetch XML works but when I update the system view fetch xml using the view designer tool it doesnt work.

All I need is to compare two fields and show records based on that in a view.

Please advise what are the ways this can be achieved?

Thanks.

    It is what it is. Microsoft did not include support of that part to Advanced Find. I'm afraid you will have to instruct users to use that view from the UI only.

    If my reply (or replies) answers your question take a minute and verify the answer. You can do it by clicking "Yes" at the top of the reply (or replies) under the label "Does this answer your question?"

    Andrew, I plan to use it in the UI and  dashboard and thanks to you.I just verified and it works in the UI.

    But thinking that it would create confusion to the users when they open the Advanced Find as in the Advanced Find filter criteria it shows Created By value as empty.  Any ideas or thoughts on this?

    Where do you plan to use that view? I don't think from the Advanced Find. Did you try to use it from the UI itself?

    In the UI. In the Advanced Find when I open the view after publishing from

    the view designed - since advanced find doesnt have the comparision filter - it is not taking the exact filter that was set from the view designer tool.

    Hi Andrew,

    Below is the filter condition I added to the All open Phone Calls OOB view in addition which is basically to show only records which are created by and assigned to are same:

    <filter>

    <condition attribute = “createdby” operator=“eq” valueof=“xx_assignedto”/>

    </filter>

    This above filter works fine when I execute in the Fetch XML builder but when I publish it  to the view. The view gets corrupted.

    Looks like this is not yet supported in the System Views but not sure

    Hello,

    Can you please provide the screenshot of the criteria or FetchXml that you tried?
