We have problem with End Time updating upon Complete of Work Order from Resco Application. We have 2 scenario when system is behaving differently.
Scenario 1: Complete Work Order where End Time is already Passed.
If we complete Work Order where End Time is already Passed then on completing of Work Order End Time is updating as Current Time.
Scenario 2: Complete Work Order where End Time is set as Future.
If we complete Work Order where End Time is set as Future Time then End Time is no updating as Current Time on Completion of Work Order.
Is there any alternate solution or it's standard behavior of Field Service?
The behavior you described may depend on the specific configuration of your Resco application and the Field Service solution you are using. However, in general, the behavior you described is not uncommon in Field Service Management systems.
In Scenario 1, if the End Time has already passed, the system may assume that the work order was not completed on time, and therefore update the End Time to the current time when the work order is completed. This may be done to ensure that accurate data is maintained regarding the actual duration of the work order and to help with future scheduling and resource allocation.
In Scenario 2, if the End Time is set in the future, the system may assume that the work order is not yet overdue and, therefore, leave the End Time unchanged on completion of the work order.
If you require a different behavior, you may need to modify the configuration of your Resco application or consult with the vendor or support team to discuss possible alternate solutions.
