Table type preferable for large dataset in SSRS report

Dear all,

Can you please let me know if I need to work with large dataset in SSRS report then what table type would be preferable in table type ?

Regular table or TempDB

Please give me more shed on this

    Hi,

    Please choose TempDB as per definition they are physical temporary tables held in sql server database and normally this option is choosen if there is lot of data.

    Can you please explain how TempDB handle large data and return good performance also.

    Which is not possible in Regular table .

    if you ask about performance, if you restart SQL service, your temp database  will be empty

    so  memory refreshed  and Disk decreased

    so in huge databases and complex data, it prefers to create a temp table

    also, you can try to track this easily, just run your report and check temp database size and performance for server

    This is daily work for DBA
