It is not a known issue however we can easily diagnose this issue once we have more details of your environment. Would you mind creating a support ticket for this issue? go.microsoft.com/.../

As indicated in the link,  Dynamics 365 Admin Center and click on ‘New Support Request’ to submit the support request. The support ticket will give us additional details on your instance to easily narrow down the issue.

Also as others in the thread have suggested installing the latest Field Service version in the admin center might also potentially resolve this issue.

    Hi,

If you are using Trail, suggest to create a new environment and try or update the field service solution to the latest version available in the Admin center and then try.

    Thanks

What is the version of existing "field service" in your D365 Org.

You can check the version here: D365 Administration Center --> Choose Org. --> Solutions --> Field Service

Can you confirm that you followed the steps mentioned in the following link:

    docs.microsoft.com/.../installation-setup-iothub

    docs.microsoft.com/.../cfs-iot-central-setup

Please set up in sandbox first to check if everything works as per your expectation. This will ensure you that you are doing it right

    RE: connected field services

Field Service is a prerequisite for the Connected Field Service installation (and frankly that's its purpose - connect IoT to D365, can be Field Service but also any other Dynamics module). What are you trying to achieve? If you only need the IoT side, you may want  to look at the IoT accelerators: docs.microsoft.com/.../about-iot-accelerators

Were you able to install IoT add-on before connected field service?

  • RE: connected field services

I am doing it in production, we do not use the field services at this stage but we want to start using it for IoT

Are you trying to install it in production or sandbox?

Did you install the all the pre-requisities? (IoT add-on)

  • RE: connected field services

    Hi Scott,

We are using the Customer Engagement , Field Services is part of it. The "free" version that we get with our Silver Data Center subscription
