NAV 2013 | G/L Balance by Dimension

Hi,

Although it appeared to work in NAV 2009 R2 RTC, the G/L Balance by dimension matrix does not properly export to excel. An Excel file is created but the columns are incomplete and no data is populated in the schedule.

The excel add-in was installed on the system and other reports export correctly.

Has anybody else encountered such an issue?

Thanks.

    Hi Pallab,

This does indeed resolve the issue of incomplete export, however obviously the Excel Add-In offers some additional functionality in NAV 2013 so I can only assume that there is some sort of bug.

I've logged a support call with Microsoft so guess I will have to wait and see what they come back to me with.

    Thanks,

    Ian

    Hi,

The issue is replicated if you have Excel Add-on installed under Client during installation of Dynamics NAV 2013.

If you remove the Excel add-on, you will be able to export the data and get the column names.

    Hi

I have just re-checked and have no issues sending to Excel from the G/L Balance by dimension using the standard NAV functionality

You mention that a excel add was installed, the excel functionality is standard in NAV so not quite sure what your partner loaded here but it may be that that what they have loaded is causing an issue?
