Hi Experts,

I need to upgrade 2009R2 database to 2015 Database. So i thought first like i need to upgrade 2009R2 to 2013R2 then 2015, for that i have created a customized database in 2013R2 that means i have created all the Customized tables,Pages,Reports and Codeunits and then i have upgraded my 2009R2 to 13R2  successfully. now my problem is i need to upgrade this 2013R2 to 2015 database but how?  I searched in web and i found lot of references. they says create the customized database that means Do i need to create all my customized and modified objects in 2015 Database again. It is very time consuming for me i dont go in that way can any one tell me is there any other process to do this without creating all objects manually. how to automate my upgradation from nav 2013R2 to 2015.

Please Help me.

Thank You,

Mahesh U.

You don't have to create your customizations in NAV2013R2.

What you have to do is.

    1. Merge all your customizations to NAV2015

    2. Open NAV2009R2 database in NAV2013R2 and then open in NAV2015

    3. Here you have to import above created FOB from step 1.

Here is the full step by step guide

It is like Mohana has said. You don't need to upgrade the customizations to NAV2013R2. All you need to do is get the objects with customizations in NAV2015.

    Once you have that:

1.- Execute data upgrade step 1

2.- Open the NAV2009 database with NAV2013 environment.

3.- Open the same database with the NAV2015 environment.

4.- Import the objects in 2015 format with customizations.

5.- Execute data upgrade step 2

Of course the steps I just explained are not detailed. For detailed information go here:

    Hi Mahesh,

Ugrade NAV2009R2 to NAV2015 is time consuming, especially report.

And you have to redo all customizations of NAV2009R2 to a standard NAV2015 to prepare objects in new version.

For converting data, you have to convert NAV2009R2 to NAV2013 (not NAV2013R2) and then convert to NAV2015.

    Good lucks!

As you have already upgraded to NAV2013R2. now you have to again upgrade the database from NAV2013R2 to NAV2015

Yes, you have to merge objects
