Shipping method in Payables Transaction entry

Hello,

I have a client that integrates data from Coupa to GP. They would like to setup a shipping method in GP called Yes, and have it populated in Payables Transaction Entry when the deferral required field in Coupa is set to yes. I am not sure if there is any tax implications using the Shipping method field, or if it is OK to use this field similar to a user defined field.

Regards,

RE: Shipping method in Payables Transaction entry

    Hello Kaylasch,

The Shipping Method is used to determine tax calculations. If you are not using taxes, then it might be ok to use this field. If they are using taxes, I would stay away from this field due to it being used when calculating taxes.

I would get into test and test to see how it comes out and the end results are using the Shipping Method field.

    I hope this helps!

    Thank you!
