I am using the free demo version of Talent to evaluate the product. I have opened Attract from the dashboard icon and form the navigation pane but can find no way of getting back to my Talent homepage without each time re-starting the Talent app.
Click the drop-down arror mark near "Talent" on the top navigation pane and select "Human Resource" this will take you back to Default Talent dashboard.

check if you are in the same environment in Attract and CoreHR. In Attract you can see this in the About boxes in each app. In Attract you can change environment in the Gearbox on top of screen.
