Vendor transactions report - batch job history empty - AX 2012

Hi All,

We have scheduled a batch job for Vendor transactions but it is not having any batch job history, how we can enable or get the batch job history for Vendor transactions report batch job.

Please advice.

Hi Akbar,

When you go to System administration > Batch job, you can select the batch job and go to the batch job details. On the Lines view, tab page General, there is a field called Save job to history. Check the value and change it to the value Always or Errors only.

Hi,
You can set it up according to the path provided by Andre. If there is no history for a batch job, it may also be because the job has not been triggered or scheduled to run. Or has your batch history been cleared? You might consider resetting your batch jobs. To monitor your batch jobs, you can set up alerts. Alerts can be sent when a batch job succeeds, fails, or finishes running.

Hi Andre/Hana,

Field "Save job to history" is already set to "Always". still the data is empty in batch job history.

We are trying to cancel the batch job based on some conditions through below code, it is working as expected but history is not getting saved for the batch cancelled batch job.

Below is the code which we have used.

Hi Akbar,

Just curious to ask one thing, does the system also running batch job history clean up Job thats available in FO (under System administration > periodic). I hope similar option will be available in AX 2012 as well ?. If its running there might be chances that as soon as the record created in batch job history clean up job will clear them.
