Permission set errors in after Business Central upgrade to version 20

Hi.

Our users are unable to use Business Central functionalities as they are getting different permission errors.

Below are the errors:

  • TableData Privacy Notice: Read; Page Edit: Attached document has to close.
  • TableData Application User Setting: Read
  • TableData EOS User Defined Field: Read; Page Customer has to close
  • Error: You do not have the following permissions on TableData IC Setup: read

Do we have list of permissions that we need to update to avoid these errors?

I appreciate your assistance.

I have the same question (0)

Hi, If we don't use the Permission Set provided by Microsoft, we will encounter this problem every time we upgrade the BC, which is really very troublesome.

In BC20, Microsoft provides the minimum login permission, you can try to give this permission to the user first.

PS: In recent versions, Microsoft will provide a "Exclude" concept for permission management.

    Hope this info helps.

    Thanks

    Hi ZHU

    I have two issues

    1. The name LOGIN is non standard, other microsoft permissions are D365 BASIC Etc. Are Microsoft commited to updating it with the new releases

    2. I can see the Include/Exclude option on the permissions, but I do not seem able to maintain it, and even when we have set it via an import it appears to have no impact. Is the functionality implemented? Am I doing it wrong?

    Thanks

    Steve
