While run the pipeline the build steps throws the error

Error MSB4019: The imported project /D://a//8//NuGets//Microsoft.Dynamics.AX.Platform.CompilerPackag//DevAlm//Microsoft.Dynamics.Framework.Tools.BuildTasks.17.0.targets/ was not found. Confirm that the expression in the Import declaration /D://a//8//NuGets//Microsoft.Dynamics.AX.Platform.CompilerPackag//DevAlm//Microsoft.Dynamics.Framework.Tools.BuildTasks.17.0.targets/ is correct, and that the file exists on disk.

    Hi,
You can refer to this official document: MSB4019: The imported project 'name' was not found. - MSBuild | Microsoft LearnCheck the syntax of the import declaration, check the path of the imported file, and make sure the spelling of the filename is correct. Or there are users on the forum who have encountered similar problems and got solutions, you can refer to this old thread: Solved: Cannot open web application projects in AOT after CU9 upgrade (dynamics.com).
    Best regards,
    Kevin

Hi Viswanath, I had this exact issue today, and I found the problem.

Your build solution has been opened and checked in from VS2022 (VS 17.0). In the Build projects, this adds the "17.0" to the targets, which is not compatible with the build tools.

Solution: Roll back to a VS2019 (VS 16.0) version of your build solution, or recreate your build solution in VS2019. When you add the build projects for your model, they will be created  without the ".17.0." in the string and you pipeline will be successful.

It is looking for /D://a//8//NuGets//Microsoft.Dynamics.AX.Platform.CompilerPackag//DevAlm//Microsoft.Dynamics.Framework.Tools.BuildTasks.targets/ but your build project contains /D://a//8//NuGets//Microsoft.Dynamics.AX.Platform.CompilerPackag//DevAlm//Microsoft.Dynamics.Framework.Tools.BuildTasks.17.0.targets/

Check the "Nuget install X++ packages" action in your pipeline and be sure you are using the "install" option (instead of "restore"), like in this pipeline example:

If you only restore the packages, then the agent will not be able to find the files inside them.

    hth.

    JA.
