Number Sequence Wizard Error

I have created a brand new legal entity today in AX 2012 R2. I'm attempting to use the number sequence wizard to create number sequences. I have received this error message: "The NumberSequenceDatatype record for extended datatype ShippingCharge contains a reference to area 74 which does not exist. This may be the result of importing data inconsistent with the current build. Please reinitialize or reload the references." Deleting the shipping charge number sequence didn't help. When I did so and re-ran the wizard, I then received a similar message for "Customer Account" and "area 204" or 208 or something. I don't understand. I have searched and searched and not come up with anything. Bing returns nothing. Google give me irrelevant noise. TechNet, nothing. What is area 74? This is a brand new legal entity, so I wouldn't expect conflicts. I created a legal entity for France, and then created one for Belgium. I received the same error messages for both legal entities. Does anyone have any idea?

The error is thrown by NumberSeqApplicationModule.initializeNumberSequenceReference() and refers to Module field in NumberSequenceDatatype table.

    Hi Howard,

    Number Sequence class is:

    msdn.microsoft.com/.../numberseqapplicationmodule.aspx

Thank you both for your reply.  I'm functional, not terribly technical.  How can I fix this issue through forms rather than tables?  I need help translating your comments above in to functional action I can take.  Thanks!

Functionally? The answer probably is "restore the database from a backup that doesn't contain corrupted data or find somebody technical to try to repair the data you have".

    HI Howard,

You mention you have created a new company. Is this the first company or are there already other companies active? Are you aware of actions taken by your company or your partner to import data to create the company or fill settings like the number sequences?

Do you have customizations in your environment which requires setup of new number sequence references?

I have created 5 legal entities so far.  One parent for consolidations, one normal operating LE for the US, and one for Cayman Islands.  These three are working as I expect. I had no problems using the number sequence wizard a couple of weeks ago on these three.  In the past week I created two more legal entities: one for France, and one for Belgium because I want to demonstrate consolidations and how to use 2 charts of account.  Both of these new LEs are giving me the number sequence wizard error.   I am working in a shared sandbox, however, the general consensus is that few people use it.  I am not aware of anyone importing anything in to the number sequence tables.

    Hi Howard,

Unfortunately there is no information in these posts which triggers me to suggest an answer.

It could be related to corrupted data, perhaps new customizations or installed fixes, incomplete compilation. I cannot tell directly. I think just like Martin said you need a technical person have a look in your system and data to find the problem.

If you created your own NumberSeqModule-class, you will have to clear your caches and restart the client to get rid of this error... Well, at least that worked for me in R3.
