FO licensing for coding and approval of invoices

Hi,

Every user on my tenant has access to coding/ approval of invoices if i set there user permissions to allow them to do so. I'm intrigued if there is a standard license within FO that allows this functionality.

Or, is there just a license for FO, and its all user permission based?

So, is there a specific attach licenses/ team member-app licenses?

I'm concerned if we were audited and we find that users have inherited blanket licenses and don't actually use their functionality we could become stuck.

Licensing isn't enforced, you are right to think that you should review your organisations license requirements and update accordingly. There are a number of tools to assist, none of them are perfect.

For a start you may want to check out the User License Counts Report

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/fin-ops-core/dev-itpro/sysadmin/stay-compliant-user-license-requirement#user-license-counts-report

It calculates license requirements based on assigned roles.

To them compare to your assigned licenses, you can check the Microsoft 365 Admin Center:

Hi there,

You can restrict the users access on each function by providing appropriate role.

Each role has multiple duty + privilege which is linked to specific license.

Please assign role to restrict the user access on specific functionality of system.
