getting multiple mails for the same purchase order approval in a workflow ax2009. how do i rectify it?

Many of the workflows recently are coming through different times for the same item … sometimes up to 4 times for the same.
Of course I try to only approve 1 time but sometimes I will approve the same multiple times. Can you please confirm that this is captured by the system? Don’t want to have more approved records of the same in the system … and how to rectify the issue so i get only one mail for a single workflow...

    Hi Monis,

    There can be various reasons for this.

    1) There is a recent copy of the production database applied on non-production environments which is also sending out the emails.

    2) Line item workflow is a workflow per line. Are you using line item workflows?

    3) A user could have submitted more than one instance. (Click Submit; leave dialog open; click submit again; confirm both. Then there are two instances for the same document.)

    4) Customizations

    Please verify which option may applt to you. Specify more background information if you need more help.
