Good morning. I work at a third-party company that utilizes eConnect / GP Web Services to send information into Dynamics GP. We received information from a consultant indicating that Dynamics GP is nearing its end of life. From everything I can find, that seems to be false information (yes, some versions of GP are being sunset - such as Dynamics GP 2015 in 2025 but not all versions). What I couldn't easily confirm is that the new version of Dynamics GP still supports eConnect / GP Web Services. Can anyone please confirm that this feature is still available in the new version of GP and based on knowledge we have at the moment, will continue to be supported?

Yes. There is a new build being released on a yearly basis which comes along with eConnect and Web Services. Latest build is 18.5 (released October 2022). The statement of direction currently shows support and enhancements through 2028/29.
GP is aligned with the Modern Lifecycle Policy. This means there is no end to support and there will be regular updates on a yearly basis.
There currently is no end of life for GP. It is guaranteed through 2028 and most likely beyond. There have no updates to eConnect for decades so your code will continue to work.
Thank you very much for your prompt and helpful response. I heard that Dynamics 365 is not compatible with eConnect/GP Web Services. Is that correct? I know I have worked with customers that have their Dynamics GP hosted through a third party, but I am not aware of anyone currently using Dynamics 365 and our product that utilizes the eConnect feature.

BC, aka Dynamic 365, is a completely different program with a completely different set of programming tools. You will have a completely new set of tools to learn how to use.
