Mobile offline profile imported via managed solution not reflecting new changes

Posted on by 196

Hello All,

I am trying to move an updated Mobile offline profile from my Dev environment to Test environment via managed solution.  However, after importing the solution on the Test environment, the changes I made on Dev environment was not getting reflected on the Test environment.  The mobile profile already existed in both the environments.

I saw there was an unmanaged layer on the mobile offline profile on the Test environment and tried to remove the unmanaged layer, but got the below error.

Can you please suggest me what options do I have to move the updates to my mobile offline profile to the Test environment without the ability to remove the unmanaged layer?

    Hi Palani.

What is in the unmanaged layer? Can you see what the attribute it is overwriting is?

Most of the time, I had an issue that was no reflecting in the target environment. Instead, it was related to the unmanaged layers.

    Hi Thomas,

Thank you for your response.  I am not sure if deleting the profile is an option.  There is a dependency on the model drive app which is part of another managed solution.  I will try to check and get back if I can delete the profile and if that fixes the issue.

I have expereinced the same thing as well. Is it possible to delete the Offline profile in the target environment and reimport the managed solution again?
