HQ & Warehouses topology

Hi everyone, I was just wondering, in AX Retail the topology is simple an AOS + EP + AD + DB ( + Synch Service & RTS ) at the HQ, and in each store an Offline DB + AX client. That seems simple. Now in my case, I'm working with a client who doesn't have stores he only have warehouses. So I'm wondering will it be the same topology? Or should I add each warehouse as a "store" ?

How does it work if a company has multiple HQ, for example in three or four countries ?

Only one of them will be a HQ and the others will be considered as store?

And finally, if not, how will they be synchronized (witout an offline DB) in case connection breaks ??

PS : I know there are a lot of new features in R3 for warehouses but I'm actually working with R2...
