HI, Community is it possible to use Work by Lookup from Queue Items to case enity.

Posted on by 152

Hello Community, I would like to add the Work by lookup to the case entity view named Active case , My Active case, and Resolved case. Nevertheless, when I go to the related entity, I cannot see the queue item table. Is there a way to add the Work by lookup to the case entity view?

    Hi Mangesh,

It's predictable, you mentioned that you want to add one field(work by) of queue item to the case view, which is impossible.

    Why?

The case and queue item have 1:N relationship, case is parent entity and queue item is child entity.

Because we can only add columns from the parent entity (case) to the child entity (queue item) view, the reverse is not possible, which is by design.

If you want to show child records on the parent entity view, you can try to use nested grid:

Sub-Grids are cool but Nested Sub-Grids are cooler and I guess Preview Gallery Control maybe even cooler... (linkedin.com)
