We have just installed NAV 2016.
Can anyone tell us if there is a way to default opening card pages to View only. The default is currently set to edit. We do not want to have to go into every page and set the permission for every user. Is there a global setting that can change this?

If you want default to be opened in View mode, but then the users would be able to switch to Edit mode, you might be interested in that posts:

Check the permissions or user Permission recording to record the permission and then assign those permission to user.
Assign SUPER (READ-ONLY) permission Set to user.
