Delete a ledger account with posted entries

Hello,

Is there a any possible way to delete a ledger account with posted entries. Has any one come with this exprience and what used to resolve. We have gl accounts that we no longer use them and we want to remove them from ledger accounts.

You can delete a G/L account with ledger entries.
