Any recommendations for label designer program that connects to AX's Warehouse Management module?

We need to design labels to print in AX for license plate labels. Under Warehouse Management>Document Routing layout> we design template in program called Zebra Designer Pro currently. The label designer produces file with values not the variables(field attribute names). Our goal is to find a label designer program that would load into document routing layout in with all the right attributes without having to edit it. This process we are doing currently is taking so long and very manual. Anyone out there has used any other program that might be more efficient in designing labels? Please ask any further questions if I'm unclear.

Running AX 2012 R3.

Thanks in advance.

    Hi Lhamo,

    Have you read this?

It refers to NiceLabel Designer Pro, which appers to do what you want.

If you copy the zpl code into the Document Routing Layouts then right click in the layout form you will see a list of fields that you may possibly use. I will print to file with the intended look of the label and open the file up with notepad. In there I can see my hardwired value so I know where I need to place the variable.

Another more simple way to go about generating LP's is to use the Zebra designer auto numbering and each day as part of your business process generate labels. You can even use a bar code object in Zdesigner and select the Variable bar code data option where you can use specific label nomenclature such as Site-VariableData so the Site portion is always fixed and the VariableData increments.

Let me know if that helps.
