Error message: "The Budget control process didn’t work. Please try running it again. If the problem persists, contact your system administrator."

Hello everyone,
When I was trying go to Vendor invoice line>Financials>Maintain>Perform budget checking, I've the error message: "The Budget control process didn’t work. Please try running it again. If the problem persists, contact your system administrator."

Does anyone ever encounter the same error? I tried to search on Google however, unable to find any such related error message.
If you've ever seen such an error and had any guidance on how to perform the budget, please let me know.

    Hello Sanam,

    For this specific case, it was due to the size  the invoice title but I am not sure if you have the same issue with me. The issue is resolved by raising a support ticket to Microsoft.

    Can you please share followings details with some screen shots to find the root cause of this issue:

    1. On which screen you are facing this issue?

    2. Budget control configuration > Documents and Journal

    3. Budget control configuration > Define parameters

    4. Budget control configuration > Activate Budget control

    5. your D365FO version and PU ?

    Hi Ludwig,

    Yes I tried several times, and even reactivate the budget control and still received the same issue.

    This is on Update37 (7.0.5746.35600).

    I have no seen this error message before and did not find a note for an existing bug on LCS.

    Can you thus share more details about the way how you configured your budget control process?

    Also, have you tried performing the budget check again as indicated in the message?

    Can you also let us know what D365FO version and PU you operate?

    Can you please check if budget control configuration is Activated and Turn on from "Budget Control Configuration 》 Activate Budget Control"
