Is there a way to link a customer record to a vendor when you have a customer as a vendor in D365FO?.

In addition, there is also an option to link a customer and vendor with a field on the customer master which is used for refund purposes.
Yes, it is possible. You can do it sharing the same party.
One way is doing it through the global address book in common module. Select the customer or vendor record and create the related one. For example, if you have already a customer, then create the vendor record from the party.
Also, when you create a new customer or vendor record, when you enter the name, the system checks if already exists a party for that name. If you select the existing one, automatically related them and links them.
There's an option also to change the party association if you didn't have already linked by the party. Some usefull links below:
